Airfix Gift Set 1:32 - BMW Mini S

Introduced in 2007, the updated MINI Cooper S featured a number of improvements over its predecessor. As well as improved interior space, the new Cooper S also introduced a new engine, now turbo rather supercharged, that resulted in an output of 184bhp, with the dash to 62mph being covered in 7.0 seconds. Raced successfully across the World, the Cooper S looks set to continue the tradition of fast MINIs.

They come in all colours and designs, and this, the R-56 is no exception.

	These are 1/32nd scale plastic model kits of either cars, motorbikes or lorries. They do not contain paints and glues unless otherwise stated. Popular kitmakers in this scale include Airfix, Lindberg and Testors.
	Manufacturer Information
	Most people have heard of Airfix and a lot of non-modellers only know plastic kits as 'Airfix Kits' (similar to 'Hoover' and vacuum cleaners). Although they had some serious financial troubles last year Airfix have been bought by Hornby who are striving to re-establish the name and create some new models for year. New Releases include the much anticipated Nimrod as well as 4 variants of the Canberra and an assortment of Airfield sets including the RAF and Luftwaffe. Airfix are a good choice for beginners as they make 'starter sets' that contain everything required to complete the model (glues, brushes and paints), This is a much cheaper option than buying everything separately. Quality is not great on most of their kits as tooling tends to be old but again for beginners this is not so much of an issue.
