Humbrol started out producing paint in standard household size tins and then realised there was a market for much smaller quantities and hence the range as we know today was born. Probably producing the best enamel range currently on the market for plastic kits Humbrol have also recently introduced a new improved range of acrylics (their first attempt was not good!) and we are still waiting to see what the markets reaction is. Having had serious financial troubles over the past few years Humbrol have recently been bought by Hornby who have also acquired the Airfix range of plastic kits as well.
