The Ta 152C was a development of Focke-Wulf Fw 190 series fighter aircraft. Designed as a high-altitude, high-speed day fighter/interceptor, it was big, sleek and more powerful than its predecessors. The prefix was changed from "Fw" to "Ta" to recognise the contributions of Kurt Tank who headed the design team.
