Hobbyboss 1:35 - M4 High Speed Tractor (3in / 90mm)

This M4 18 ton High Speed Tractor was designed as a prime mover for towing the 90mm anti aircraft guns.

The M4 18 ton High Speed Tractor series was developed and built by the Allis-Chalmers Manufacturing Company of Milwaukee, Wisconsin between 1943 and 1945. The design was based upon the T9 and T9E1 was standardised as the Medium Tractor M4. This then became the High Speed Tractor M4. Together with the M5 and M6 High Speed Tractors they replaced the older type commercial tractors which did not meet the requirements of a modernised army. These tractors could carry both crew and a basic supply of ammunition. Production started in March 1943 and 5552 M4 tractors were produced before June 1945 and 259 M4A1 tractors between June and August 1945. They had a relatively fast top speed of 35mph.

	Manufacturer Information
	Hobbyboss are a relatively new company having only formed in the last couple of years but the rumours are they have spent a long time producing models for Trumpeter and seem to be very experienced in creating state of the art injection moulded kits. The first company to produce embedded photo etch they have caused some serious stirs in a very short space of time and they continue to make a great range of high quality affordable model kits. One to watch for the future.
